Vibe Coding my foot

Since I have been vibe coding in English for the past few days, I might as well pen down my frustrations in English. It was only today that I realised what I have been doing is actually called vibe coding. Someone on YouTube coined the term—well, to be precise, they didn't invent it. It was Andrej Karpathy who sold the idea of vibe coding to many who believe in the potential of AI.

I, too, naively believed in it. Looking at my progress, I am not even sure if I'm going to reach that goal at all. Just when I thought I could finish phase 3 today, I am back to square one. Whenever there is a bug, my AI assistant, in this instance, Cursor Pro, just throws in more junk code. I have to literally dive into a sea of code to find that tiny little loophole. If I don't, it just rewrites the code and starts all over again. I can't express enough how miserable I am, compared to the day I started this "adventurous" journey.

I even asked Gemini why I have become a worker for the AI. It just kind of laughed it off and said, "Yeah, vibe coding has always been a romanticised imagination by human beings." Are AIs that smart? Think again.

Damn it.
